Who we are

gang is operated by Stanislas Molveau, a self-employed worker in Québec (under the name Molveau Studio). These terms apply when you use the app or the website.

Who can use gang

You must be 14 or older. The app asks for your date of birth and refuses a younger account.

Your identity

You sign in with Apple or Google, nothing else.

Your @ changes at most once every 30 days.

Expected behaviour

Harassment, threats and hateful content have no place here. You can report a person, a photo, a message or a night in the app.

Blocking someone cuts the link both ways: you no longer see each other, your nights or your profiles, except in a shared gang.

Your photos

Your photos stay yours.

You delete them whenever you want, and their file goes with them.

What you post in gang (photos, messages, nights), you allow gang to keep and show to the people you chose, only to run the service, and as long as you have not deleted it.

A photo added to a night's album is only seen by the accepted guests of that night.

A photo leaves the album 30 days after it was added.

A guest of the night can remove a photo from the album without giving a reason, up to 3 per night.

A photo reported by several people is hidden, and its author is told without learning who reported it.

Nights

gang is the platform, not the organiser. The person who creates a night is its host: they organise it and answer for what happens there.

Tickets

The price shown is all-in: one figure per ticket, taxes and fees included.

The buyer pays Stripe's payment fees; they are in the price shown.

An order holds at most 6 paid tickets.

If you change your mind within the window the organiser chose (up to 24 hours before, up to 7 days before, or none), you get the ticket price back, a little less if your card cost more in fees, as long as your ticket has not been scanned. Payment fees are not returned to you.

If the organiser cancels the night, you get back everything you paid.

If the date, time or place changes, you have 48 hours to get a full refund, until the night starts.

If the door has read no ticket within 3 hours after the start time, everyone gets a full refund.

If your ticket was never scanned, you can say so within 48 hours after the end. The organiser has 72 hours to answer; with no answer, you get a full refund.

Leaving gang

You can delete your account anytime in Settings, Privacy: 30 days to change your mind, then permanent erasure.

gang may suspend or close an account that does not follow these terms (harassment, threats, hateful content, fraud). We tell you why and you can answer at contact@thegangapp.com.

Trademarks

gang shows nights from Ticketmaster and links to its ticketing. The Ticketmaster trademark belongs to its owner.

gang is not affiliated with Ticketmaster: a link to its ticketing goes out unchanged.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute belongs to the courts of Québec.

Changes

An important change to these terms is announced here before it takes effect, and the date at the bottom of the page changes.
