The app for the during of a night out. It holds the live logistics — the map, the photos, who brings what — for the length of the outing, then gets out of the way. It sits between invite apps (before) and always-on tracking (never).

An outing is an event with its Outing Mode: a live session (map + battery + shared album) that opens on its own 2h before the start and closes on its own 2h after the end.

Both. An event that spans several days (a cottage, a weekend) automatically becomes multi-day, with a day-by-day plans board. There's no separate “trip” type to pick.

Yes. By default an outing runs up to 4h after the start, capped at 3 a.m. A start after midnight counts as the same night, and an explicit end can span days.

Yes: the host edits the end time. The Outing Mode window and the 9 a.m. photo reveal re-derive from the new end.

Yes. Nothing blocks a late RSVP, and Outing Mode stays joinable until 2h after the end — as long as you hold an invite.

Yes. Turn Outing Mode off (or go ghost) and you drop off the map right away. You can also change your RSVP to “can't go.”

Yes, and only they can. They edit the event in place (RSVPs are kept; guests are notified only when the time or place actually moves). Cancelling ends any live session — it's one-way.

Partly. An invite link opens a web page where anyone can RSVP without an account (name + optional phone, age-gated). But the map, photos and thread stay app- and invite-only.

Two, not three. A private event (invite-only) is everyone's normal mode. A public event only exists for verified venue accounts (bars, halls). There is no separate “semi-public” mode: inside a private event you instead tune specific switches (hide the guest list, hide the location, who can invite).

A private event: no one uninvited — it's unfindable, kept out of search and Discover. A public venue event: anyone, in Discover.

Invitees, and only if the host hasn't hidden the list. On a public event, a stranger sees the RSVP count, never faces or names.

The host, always. Other invitees can invite if “guests can invite” is on (it is by default). Blocked people are filtered on both sides.

No. There's no queue: you join because you already hold an invite. There's no “request to join” button.

The fine switches (hidden list, hidden location, who can invite) are editable any time. But the private/public type itself doesn't change after creation.

Yes: the invite link drops into Messenger, iMessage or Instagram, and the recipient RSVPs on the web page with no account. Public venue events are open to everyone.

For a private event: nothing, except via the link — which shows the title, time and place (unless hidden) and adult faces (unless the list is hidden). For a public event: the event details and how many people are interested.

Only inside Outing Mode, and only if you switch it on when joining. The session opens 2h before the outing starts. There is no “always-on” location setting.

On its own, 2h after the outing ends. No new location is accepted after that, and the map goes dark.

Only the other guests of that outing who open the map, and only while you're live. A blocked person never sees you.

Yes, instantly: go ghost (you vanish from the map after 15 min, no confirmation) or turn it fully off. You can also reopen the panel and switch location off.

Precise (the real GPS point), shown on the map only while you're live. There's no “fuzzed” version — the protection is that it turns itself off.

The same people as your location, and only if you share battery (a separate switch). Below 10% it's flagged low.

The session closes 2h after the end, the map stops, and no more location is recorded.

Not long-term. The trail is kept for the length of the session, then permanently erased 24h after the outing ends.

No. A block is mutual and cuts everything: the map, search, the thread, the profile, plans, invites.

Blocking is instant, app-wide and mutual. Reporting files a record (spam, harassment, inappropriate content…) — separate from blocking. Deleting your account starts a 30-day grace period, then a full erase of your personal data.

The outing's guests, in the app — up to 50 photos per person. Public venue events have no album.

Your own photos, always (even before the reveal). Other people's, only after they reveal, and only among guests of the same outing.

At 9 a.m. the morning after the day a photo was taken. On a weekend, each day reveals the next morning; on a single night, they all come due at once.

Yes, within the outing window: from 2h before the start to 2h after the end. A photo taken outside that window is rejected.

Yes. You can delete your own photos, and they disappear everywhere.

No. Today, only the person who took a photo can delete it. For a problematic photo, the recourse is to report it.

An outing's photos are available to its guests; nothing stops saving them. There's no technical lock against downloading.

If their invite is removed, they lose access to the map, photos and thread (all keyed off the invite). Photos they already added aren't deleted automatically.

Deleting an account erases its personal photos (including ones published to the profile). Deleting an event erases that event's photos.

You can report a photo (like a profile or a message). The report is recorded; there's no automatic takedown.

The server keeps files as they're uploaded — it doesn't recompress them on its side.

The session is one continuous window (2h before to 2h after), so it stays open from one night to the next. There's no automatic overnight pause — you turn it off yourself if you want.

Your attendance is for the whole event: there's no per-day RSVP. You join the event, not a specific day.

Yes. The thread, the who-brings-what list, expenses and the album are shared across the whole outing. Only photos reveal day by day.

Yes. The plans board is day-by-day: each day has its own proposals.

No. You can edit the times or cancel, but there's no “pause” that freezes an outing to resume later.

The thread goes read-only 2h after the end, the map session closes at the same time, and each day's recap lands at 9 a.m. the next morning.

At creation (your whole gang at once, or named people), by adding people afterwards, or with the shareable link. A guest can bring others if the host allowed it.

A per-outing logistics thread (“on my way,” “10 min late,” a photo), not a messenger. gang doesn't replace Messenger or Instagram — that's a choice. The thread goes read-only 2h after the end.

A shared list: the host adds things to bring, buy, or tasks; each person claims what they'll handle (first claim wins) and checks it off.

Someone pays and splits the expense across chosen people. The app works out who owes what, to the cent, and you settle when it's done.

Yes, two kinds. At creation, a coordination poll (vote on proposed times/places; the host locks a winner). During, the plans board where people propose an idea and tap “I'm down.”

Yes. Discover pulls together Montréal's public nights (the City's open data, Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, and venues) and shows you which ones your friends are into.

Blocking is instant, app-wide and works both ways: the person disappears from the map, search, the thread, profiles, and can no longer invite you.

You can report a person, a photo, a message or an event, with a reason. The report is recorded. Blocking stays a separate, immediate action.

You can't be added to an outing through someone you've blocked (or whom the host has blocked). Blocked people are filtered out at add time.

Only verified venue accounts can post a public event, which blocks user spam. The takedown policy after a report is still being defined — until then, a report is recorded but doesn't trigger an automatic removal.

The host is the only one who can cancel, modify, remove invitees or manage the list. A guest who brings another guest vouches for them.

No. gang's location is scoped to one outing and turns itself off — it is not an ongoing tracking or personal-safety service, and it should not be relied on in an emergency. In an emergency, contact local emergency services (911). [Wording pending legal review.]
